Clayton D. Samuels is WTS HEALTH'S President of Ancillary Services. He provides executive level leadership, having previously led an agency with 900 employees and a $250 million budget for the State of Washington Department of Corrections from 2009 through 2015. With years of experience Clayton blends operational expertise, empathy, and strategic vision to ensure safety, quality care, and staff development.
Prior to joining WTS HEALTH, Clayton served as a Behavioral Health Ancillary Program Manager at Northwestern Memorial Healthcare to involve leading projects that integrate behavioral health with ancillary services, collaborating with operational, clinical, and research leaders to improve quality, health outcomes, and performance. During his time at NMH the hospital-initiated receivership action on 3 locations in financial and operational distress. Working with staff, a court appointed receiver and a third-party management company, he was able to protect vulnerable patients who were admitted to hospital treatment long term and over 500 jobs. Clayton received his Bachelor of Arts Economic and Political Science from Boston College.
He enjoys developing relationships with state and local agencies, administrators, and other stakeholders.
