Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Che Ward joined WTS Health in 2025 following a position as a medical director for the Connecticut Department of Correction (CDC). While working with the CDC, Dr. Ward was honored for his service during the pandemic, recognized because he served the CDC in extraordinary ways in response to the coronavirus. 

Dr. Che Ward, MD, is a board-certified Emergency Medicine physician with over 15 years of clinical experience. He specializes in emergency care, treating a wide range of acute medical conditions in top hospitals on the east coast, including Bridgeport Hospital and Trinity Health of New England Medical Group. Ward recently spearheaded into inmate health services to diagnoses, treat, and manage a wide range of conditions for those in custody.

In his senior executive role, Dr Ward is responsible for overseeing clinical operations, ensuring high-quality patient care, and aligning medical practices with organizational strategy.
