Tami has over 10 years of experience in correctional healthcare. Before starting WTS HEALTH in 2017, Mrs. Small served as a corrections officer for the Virginia Department of Correction for 7 years. She began her career in corrections as a jail officer in classification and records in 2006 and moved to health care management by 2010. Since, she has worked in healthcare management at both the state and national levels for several healthcare companies providing healthcare services to vulnerable populations. In early 2018 WTS HEALTH was selected to provide Comprehensive Inmate Health Services for the Richmond City Justice Center under Correctional Medical Care, INC.(CMC) later that year was selected by WEXFORD HEALTH SOURCES, INC. to provide Temporary Medical Services in 10 states for a period of 6 years. Tami has landed multiple correctional health contracts with companies like FlexRN, THE GEO GROUP, INC. and the Indiana Department of Correction. During her years in service, Tami has actively joined memberships with the American Jail Association, Virginia Sherrif's Association and North Carolina Jail Administration Association.

Tami has focused on positioning WTS HEALTH not only as a data-driven company, leaning out of subcontracting and into a prime contractor role while leveraging technology in patient care. Her experience in working with various types and sizes of contract obligations and a comprehensive portfolio of leadership and strategic planning skills, coupled with her proven operational and financial capabilities, make her an exceptional choice to lead WTS HEALTH into the next phase of the prison health management industry.

Previously, Tami served as the Director of Finance for Red Models NYC specializing in financial strategy, operational efficiency, and team leadership. Proven track record of optimizing accounting processes, managing multi-million-dollar budgets, and providing key financial insights that support strategic decision-making. Tami has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from St. Francis College.
